Exeter, UKWan Teng is a Counsellor and Case Supervisor at Think. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Exeter, UK, and a Master of Counselling from Monash University, Australia. She works with children, adolescents, teens, and young adults, supporting a range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs across private practice and international school settings.
Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and DBT-informed approaches, alongside her background in behavioural therapy. She has a particular interest in ADHD and neurodiversity, and enjoys helping young people better understand themselves, their emotions, and their needs.
Wan Teng’s previous experience in an international school involved providing counselling and wellbeing support to students, while working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and families to support their social-emotional needs. She also provides parent coaching, helping caregivers make sense of their child’s behaviours and strengthen connections within the family system.
At the heart of her work is the belief that meaningful progress happens when young people feel understood and the adults around them feel supported.
Outside of work, Wan Teng enjoys Pilates, reading, and solo café journaling.
