SUSSPeishan is a Clinical Member and Registered Counsellor with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and holds a Master of Counselling from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
With over a decade of professional experience across mental health and educational settings, Peishan has several years of counselling experience supporting adolescents, young adults and adults with mental health, emotional, relational and personal challenges. Her broader work included biopsychosocial assessments and guiding seniors and caregivers in accessing appropriate resources and services to meet their care needs.
Peishan supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, anger, relationship and family difficulties, academic and work pressures, self-esteem concerns, identity questions and life transitions. Her clinical work also includes supporting clients with trauma-related and obsessive-compulsive difficulties, as well as suicidal thoughts and self-harm concerns.
Peishan takes a person-centred and collaborative approach, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. She adapts these approaches to each client’s needs, circumstances and pace. She values building trust and rapport over time, offering a warm, respectful and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard and understood. Where appropriate, she collaborates with families, caregivers and relevant professionals while respecting each client’s strengths and autonomy.
Alongside her counselling work, Peishan is an Associate Lecturer in the local polytechnic sector. Her work in counselling and education is grounded in a shared belief in each person’s capacity to grow and take meaningful steps towards the life and future they hope for.
Peishan provides counselling in English and Mandarin.
