Fauzia Siddiqui
Counsellor
M Counselling
Monash, AusFauzia is a counsellor with a Master of Counselling from Monash University. She has over 10 years’ experience supporting children, young people, and families in multicultural school settings. Her work within international-school communities has deepened her understanding of the diverse cultural, linguistic, identity, and transition-related experiences that individuals and families bring to counselling.
Fauzia works with children, teenagers, young adults, parents, and families facing anxiety, stress, low mood, life transitions, grief and loss, self-esteem and body-image concerns, anger, selective mutism, self-harm, and other social-emotional or mental-health challenges. She also supports parents and families navigating relationship difficulties, school-related concerns, or changes within the family.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and non-judgmental. Fauzia believes counselling should offer a safe space clients can make their own—one where they feel heard, respected, and supported to explore challenges at their own pace. She draws on Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, psychoeducation, and play-based or creative approaches for children.
Fauzia is a member of the Australian Counselling Association, and a Committee Member of SAC’s College and School Counsellors Subcommittee and is a Pre-Clinical Member of the Singapore Association for Counselling.
Outside work, she enjoys family time, cooking, exploring new food, travelling, and learning about different cultures.
