M Counselling
Amruta is a Trauma-Informed Therapist and Counsellor who works with adolescents, adults and couples, LGBTQIA+ community members, supporting clients through anxiety, trauma, emotional distress, relationship challenges, life transitions and personal growth.
Her practice is integrative, relational and deeply person-centred, drawing on Trauma-Informed Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and somatic and nervous-system regulation approaches. She creates a therapeutic environment grounded in safety, empathy, trust and collaboration, while helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience and agency.
Amruta has a particular professional interest in trauma recovery, adolescent mental health, emotional regulation, parent-child relationships, relational wellbeing and the mind-body connection. She also conducts mental-health workshops and psycho-educational programmes for schools, organisations and communities.
What distinguishes Amruta’s perspective is the breadth of her life and professional experience. Her background spans the fields of media and public-facing professional work, providing her with extensive exposure to diverse cultures, individuals, social environments and life experiences. This unique background brings an added dimension to her understanding of human psychology, identity, self-perception, relationships and the different perspectives through which people experience themselves and the world around them.
Amruta believes that meaningful therapy is not about changing who a person is, but about creating the safety, insight and space needed for people to reconnect with themselves, understand their experiences and make choices aligned with who they want to become.
